I wasn't sure if I should post this in the NOOB questions thread or not, since this might be something worthy of its own thread. Other people who are interested in this will find it more easily this way.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to change the order in which the games are listed on Gateway. You know, the list that pops up when you press SELECT on the 3DS in the home menu.
I read some time (too long) ago something about the order being based on the FAT file order or something? Does that help someone with coming up with the answer?

Whelp! That's that then. Didn't find that when searching. Probably because I used the word "order" instead of "sort"

Well, and here I am with question number 2.
It seems that the ROM sortergamesquest1 has linked to doesn't recognize .3dz files. Is there any way around that?

Change the extension to 3ds, then once it's sorted, re-name it to 3dz again. :P

Will that really work? Granted, I haven't tried it yet and am not able to try it right now, but I would've thought that it won't work, since when you rename it back to .3dz, the filetable will put the .3dz back to the end of the list.

Actually, you might be right. I had the idea that the files were sorted based on date modified, but they seem to be based on when they were copied.

    Well, it actually worked! Hurray!
...This really was one of those things I just should've tried before asking...

Glad you did because I almost doubted it would work.

Or you could just use the app linked to in the first post of that thread (fat-sorter), which sorts all files alphabetically, regardless of extension. :)
