How to burn Gamecube games for the Wii?

    I followed a Youtube tutorial and am fairly sure I can get the GC backups working on the Wii.

    However, is there a special way of burning, or can I just copy the iso onto the disc and the Wii will recognise it?

    You need a chip or a CIOS/CMIOS

    Seconded.

    (and of course you need a wii that can handle backup DVD's)

    I also suggest using multigame iso creator. You can burn 3 gamecube games on a DVD easily (or more, if you compress them). [​IMG]

    does CMIOS support a compressed image? I only use 1 to 1 dumps.

    Oh yeah, are the games region free? I can only find a NTSC version of F Zero.

    No you have to use a region patch either through a modchip or some kind of loader. Wiigator's cMIOS should sufice for what you need thgough I'd couple it with neogamma loader.

    And don't use DVD+R discs. I burned two DVD+R's and both worked only for first time I used them.

    how recent is your Wii?

    if its 2010, black, red, etc its probably got the D3-2 drive, so can't play back ups at all
    Or did you mention somewhere already that it CAN actually play back ups and I just missed it?

    White 2010, 4.2E or whatever, and yes I can already play Wii backups.

    I did use DVD-R btw as I forgot to buy DVD's and only had these ones.

    Wow, NeoGamma loader worked first time. Menu sound in the game is a bit off but the rest is perfect, could be a bad burn though.

    No it's aknown problem.

    Checkou the NEOGAMMA THREAD. it explains how to fix the audio lag on some games.
