He's not from syria. He's talking about first world confidence.
Boi, let me tell you, dying slowly in a first world country and due to the food and drink you consume being dead, full of preservatives and chemically altered is much worse.

You know why people get depression, confidence issues and other feelings of dis ease (Disease is DIS-EASE friends), because our bio chemistry sets (our bodies) have been purposefully fucked to make us weak and dependent on the state.

I can agree with that. But all the fluoride from my tap water has made me too docile to do anything about it.

i feel confident as an adult but i do doubt myself on occasion...the key is to act like you do not doubt yourself. get good at acting and people can't tell the difference between whats real and the act.

most of the world doesn't show their real self - neither should you.

My superior (manager) say its to interact more with people. Anything else? I understand the first step is always hard but you know..

What is the best way to build self confidence?

Best way to build self confidence is to feel good about who you are and achieving success in your life(job, body, ect) Hitting the gym would be good,I also think if you start having more success with the ladies you will feel alot better about yourself.

Thats what you think, but if you went to jail I guarantee the predators could sense you are faking confidence.

well going to jail is not part of this conversation...im not sure why you would even bring that up??

we are talking about the workplace, at least OP was and I was. i could spin you a yarn about someone that got hired the same exact time i did and he faked it, HARD CORE. i'm talking pretty much sucked someones dick, got dry fucked with no lube, dingled dangles, you name it - he did it, sleazy and fake the whole way through but he made it.

i am the example of not faking it - i worked my fucking ass off and i finally made it two steps in my career (hire, promote, promote) without playing the game but i feel good about what i've done and no one really does about example A, everyone knows he is a monster. i made strides, my actual confidence has gained the admiration of my peers.

acting is the key to success in the real world - you fake it to make it. be real and expect a long bumpy ride.

That can be good and bad.
it will depend the people reaction to your attempt to interact with them.

If they don't act like you expected, you'll feel even less self confident and will have even more issues doing it again.

What's good, is people being dependent to you, your skill, what you can do to help them.
They will come to you, and you'll feel useful.
Other people coming to you is what makes you feel more self confident, but that's a result. I can't tell you what to do to make that happen (I didn't myself, people are still not wanting me, except for my job. at least, it's a start). be good, better, and work a lot.

Yes, mainly because I feel like I need to feel people out more before I open up to them therefore, I stay quiet and reserved, sometimes too much and my co-workers know this but not the management they want me to be someone I am not.

I would recommend thinking about hope, and cofidence, as that is what mostly gets me through my day.

Cofidence is a tool that allows you to say "Oh you want me to sell 50 Candy Bars? Sure no worries!"

Opening up to someone (and I mean anyone.) Is a very very hard skill to master without becoming defensive, and while being accountable. And it takes many years to actually master it (Maybe 8 - 10 years with guidance.)

I think what your boss is trying to say is you need to learn to believe yourself that you can do something, or you can take on something that may be challenging without saying "Ugh really?", or just saying "Okay", I think they want you to say "Alright I will go ahead and do this, if you need me for anything please talk to me."

Do you normally stay quiet constantly while working, or complain about a new project being taken? I take it for granite you would actually complain, but I think if you can comunicate with cofidence with your co workers such as asking questions, or socailizing that is a great way to up your rep.

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
