just go with wsl2 if you're new. however, it has issues booting up linux based apps. it can help you build things in linux, which is what I do.

WSL is limited imo, I'd rather prefer using a distro.

WSL2 is what ill use. Currently thinking about Satrun and PSP emulation on a New 3DS

I know. that's why I suggested it for a beginner or even a chromebook, because some things can only be installed through that.

linux, rather than windows, is the only os I've seen where playstation stuff is compilable. it may work in msys or even mac. I think I've gotten msys to work as well, which iirc, is considered windows.
