Hacking How to backup Pokemon OR saves from OR Rom using gateway?

Anyone? I installed save data filer but dont know how to use it to backup my .3ds roms save.

I just backed it up and ended up with a file called main with no extension. This is the save file?
Also when I want to restore it I find this file at the SD tab? Or I go to CTR again and press the combination for restore?

Yes the main file is the save. And to restore it go to the SD tab.
