PS1/2 How to attach hard disc to a modded *SLIM* PS2 to run games via it.

v14 onwards , only choice is one of the usb hdd loaders , but they suck due to the ports on the ps2 being usb 1.1. If you have a v12 or 13 slim , then you can fit either a hdconnect or hdcombo kit to it and use a normal ide hdd and just use hdloader.

I'm not sure how this will work on the slim (People have gotten it to work on it though), but instead of using an HDD, why not use ESR? You might need Swap Magic for this though since you need a way to load homebrew. All you need to do is install Free MCBoot or exploit the DVD drive by disguising ESR as a DVD update. I chose the latter because not only did it save me from formatting my memory card, the PS2 doesn't start up slow like FMCB and it isn't as much of a hassle.

See, I live in Iran and don't have access to eBay, Amazon, DX,etc sites, I would like to find a software solution instead of buying kits and things from the net.

And I do have a 500GB NTFS USB 2.0 external hard drive too.
