How reliable is mGBA video recording?

I heard once that mGBA is more accurate and more reliable than VBA or No$GBA. While I have used the former for years, I always used VBA recording to record my videos with in this past. I also learned mGBA can record videos but my question is, how reliable is it? And should I use mGBA for recording?

mGBA is even used in speedrunning in some communities, so I think it's reliable to use it to record videos.
