No. Just... no. The time of consoles sold for a single game passed and shall not be missed. To stay afloat nowadays, the console needs to offer great hardware capabilities and top-notch applications other than just "games". The 3DS fails miserably as far as the battery life, games library, built-in applications and hardware is concerned. Hell, they can't even make a decent media player for the system. I'm sorry, but I'm not waiting for Pokemon. I'm waiting for the 3DS lite that will hopefuly wipe the stain of crappy battery and flimsy case design. By the time it's out, there should be a library of games available, but I'm afraid I'll be too busy with the NGP to really bother all that much.
I'm sure the NGP will have problems of it's own as well.

Really. I was pretty excited about it a while ago, now it's a meh system since it doesn't have any game to back it up.

I'll still buy it this year, the good games are coming after all. But everyone else? Nintendo's gonna have a hard time trying to get the interest of those uninformed about it back.

I can see people complaining about the touchscreens and, of course, R3 and L3 already.

I miss when I liked you, Sony.

I think "Kid Icarus and all the other good games get released" would be better than "Pokemon gets released"
Granted Pokemanz do push handheld sales since, well it's pokemon, but we know next to nothing about any actual pokemon coming to the 3DS.

Except maybe 3D graphics (not 3DS 3D but 2D -> 3D).

the 3ds messed up with the launch titles and the price. To me a price of $180-200 would be good. Then they should of had Zelda , mgs and resident evil at lunch. Also should of had all the channels up and running from day one. including 3ds videos. Then do holiday bundles with mario games.

but alot of company are stupid and dont ever do things right

Oh, it definatelly will. Thing is, it's easier to solve problems when you have too much resources rather than you have little to spare. I'll be honest with you - I think the 3DS was released way too early. The console is in a prototype stage rather than being a final product - that much is clear to me, no matter how Nintendo is trying to cover it up. The lack of features which should be available out of the box and technical difficulties such as random black screens and freezes only prove my point. What kind of a company issues a statement that an update will be soon available shortly after the release? The system was supposed to be refined and perfect the moment it hit the shelves - Nintendo found bugs in their firmware and decided to sell the console regardless. You don't sell flawed hardware when you know it's flawed.

Not only that, a console is only worth as much as the launch titles are worth, and all the games I'm interested in aren't even out yet, minus the Tom Clancy game. Sorry, but I'm not paying over 200 bucks for a console to play one game on. I did that *only* for the Dreamcast, and I bought it for a 100, years after launch.

On the other hand, I was never a big "launch" person. I prefere to take my time and see what flaws the system has that the producer tries to hide before making a purchase.

The difference is that if you just randomly release a "system seller" then it'll be like your system has erectile dysfunction. It gets it up and then it just drops suddenly. Nowadays they need a continuing stream of system sellers. That's been the issue with the 3DS currently. It sold a bit at the beginning but since then there's been little to nothing to promote it outside of the few good launch titles it had.

You're right, the Analog stick was Nintendo's worst mistake (and for those of you who want to tell me that they didn't make it, I never said they did).

This isn't about NGP, this is about Nintendo and everybody being hyped for the 3DS, them having a great E3 last year because of it, then bombed the launch of it, and why there isn't as much interest in it as there was.

Actually I think the reason is more the fact that not many people know about it and know the difference in it and the DS. I blame the marketing campaign, really.

I highly doubt "not many people know about it" is the reason. They bombed with the launch. They had one marketing ad. They had the shittiest launch lineup ever. Hell, even Perfect Dark Zero sold 360's. A lot of people knew about the 3DS, but Nintendo didn't do anything to convince us why we should buy it.

Well, so far there are very little differences, seeing that all the fun games are DS games.

And that was a terrible mistake by Nintendo. It's so sad to watch videos about the 3DS and read in the comments stuff like "I didn't know the DS was capable of such graphics!".

Terrible, terrible marketing choice by Nintendo. And they can't fix that misconception, the system is already named, a lot of people think it's just a DS with 3D capabilities. And that hurt the selling potential the 3DS could've had.

Probably because the DS has an utter shit fighting library.

Even then, I wouldn't say the 3DS fighting library is any better than the PSPs.
I assume you guys are talking about Fighting games?

IMO handhelds are simply not suitable for games like SF or Tekken.
My 3DS condition.. well lets just say its not too well after playing a little bit of SSFIV.

I'm not a big fan of portable fighters either unless they're made specifically for the handheld (see: Dissidia) but there are supposedly some awesome Tekken ports for the PSP (I haven't really played them) and control wise, Soul Caliber: Broken Destiny, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, and Street Fighter Alpha Max 3 all control surprisingly well.
