I'm sure the NGP will have problems of it's own as well.
Oh, it definatelly will. Thing is, it's easier to solve problems when you have too much resources rather than you have little to spare. I'll be honest with you - I think the 3DS was released way too early. The console is in a prototype stage rather than being a final product - that much is clear to me, no matter how Nintendo is trying to cover it up. The lack of features which should be available out of the box and technical difficulties such as random black screens and freezes only prove my point. What kind of a company issues a statement that an update will be soon available shortly after the release? The system was supposed to be refined and perfect the moment it hit the shelves - Nintendo found bugs in their firmware and decided to sell the console regardless. You don't sell flawed hardware when you know it's flawed.
Not only that, a console is only worth as much as the launch titles are worth, and all the games I'm interested in aren't even out yet, minus the Tom Clancy game. Sorry, but I'm not paying over 200 bucks for a console to play one game on. I did that *only* for the Dreamcast, and I bought it for a 100, years after launch.
On the other hand, I was never a big "launch" person. I prefere to take my time and see what flaws the system has that the producer tries to hide before making a purchase.
