Hacking How mucn wouldyou charge? Is this too much?

So, Now I have a R4, everybody who knows me wants one, and is getting one on sunday. But, they all want me to download them ROM's and put them onto the R4 for them. I think that they tink its really hard to do, lol.

Anyway, My mom said i should charge them, and make some profit out of it.

I was thinking that i should charge five pounds per perseon per ten games. Is that too much?

Even though if they bought the real games, it would cost them 295 pounds more?

Or should I charge them at all?
Afterall, i am taking time out of my day to put ROMs on other peoples R4's!

Anyway, i would like to hear your suggested prices, etc, and if you think it's too much.

p.s five pounds is about 10 dollars in the us, and about 8 euros. I dont know what it is in Australia, sorry!

I think it is wrong to make money out of services provided by people that do it for free, such as dump groups... So don't sell them..

As far as I'm concerned, time is spent in downloading ROMs and uploading ROMs into memory cards. And since Time = Money, 1 USD for the time spent in downloading 1 ROM is ok. That means, 1 ROM = 1USD/ 0.5 Euros

Since selling ROMs is definitely illegal and will land you a criminal charge, lets just say you are charging them for the time you spent. Its fair, right?

Yeah it is really wrong, and alot of people here would agree, so I'd recommend you just STFU and get on with it if you're gonna do it because some people might react a bit more strongly..

why not be cool? I'm the only one of all my friends who knows how to download movies/games, so they all leach off me, I never charge them or anything, just be cool and help them out

DO NOT charge for homebrew. Homebrew is legally free,so you shouldnt have to pay for it.

Dude, are you some kind of simpleton? Are you seriously considering charging people for illegally downloading ROMs on their behalf? Most companies turn a blind eye to casual copying, as they know it's something they'll never stop. The moment you start attempting to profit from software piracy, you're letting yourself in for a whole heap of pain if you're ever caught.

Tell your friends where your source is and leave it at that.

I mean, unless someone i hardly know comes up and asks, then i might.

The thing is, they dont want to learn. They would rather just ask me to do it than learen themselves.

Its pretty simple to do so why not just tell your freinds how to go about it? this way they dont pay and youre not spending youre time doing stuff that they can do easily

christ i've advised a friend of mine to get a cart and i'd order it for her fill it and take it down to her 4 miles away and wouldn't charge her a thing.
