Hacking How much space to leave for Saves

Hi,

still waiting on my TTDS from DX but have now prepped my 4 gig card - but how much space do i need to leave clear for game saves. I have put about 60 roms + homwbrew on the card and have about 136 mb free at the moment.

as far as I know, most DS game saves are around 128kb and rarely the go over that. so you can multiply that 128 or 256 by th number of games you have and add some space just in case.

Ok, have been playing constantly for the last couple of hours and now on several games I have not previously loaded it fails to create the sav file. I take it this is because I have not enough free space left on the card.

Some pruning of roms is required i think.

Which flash cart are you using now?

DSTT .sav files are 512k. In the DSTT forum, a member recently commented that he had more than 512k left on his card, but the DSTT os indicated that there was insufficient room for a .sav
