A pro is only worth more at this time. When a ps5 launches it value will be diminished
A pro will always be worth more than a slim and the price of a second hand ps4 won't dramatically drop when the ps5 launches. The cost of a second hand ps3 hasn't moved much since I bought one in 2010. If the ps5 is backward compatible, cheap enough and worth upgrading to immediately, then it might affect ps4 prices more. However there won't be a ps5 hack immediately, so there will still be a reason to buy a ps4.
plus in the future they're will be a newer exploit that works on all firmwares like always happens with every system and by then it value will be less then half what it is now.
There may still be older units that have better capabilities, like on the ps3 and to a less extent the wii. For example if there is a CUH2DUH hack which requires you to be on a low firmware to convert the console, but after that you can run any developer firmware that is leaked.
So if you're trying to sell it for its value you would have to sell it now because value will only be going down instead of up.
It's hard to predict as prices can drop and then go back up again. You'd have to keep it for a long time and inflation and opportunity cost will also be a factor. If someone isn't interested in owning a PS4, then I would recommend selling it. Even if you list it with a huge buy it now on ebay and don't expect someone to buy it immediately.
