Pffff...
Lucky you are...
I pay about USD 50.00 to a 4Mb download, wich goes at 350kbs tops (IFireworks when it happens). As the damn provider has traffic shaping, the p2p goes always very, very slown. My provider ip is in a bad up list, and there is no better option in Brazil (actually, there is - for USD 200, yeah, right).
They say they don't practice traffic shaping, and our telecomunications regulation organ is a joke. Actually, they defend the big copanies.

What a proud...

Right now I get 6Mbps down and 384kbps up for $42.95US. It's a rip-off, I can't wait until FTTH gets here in 3-6 months (of course they said 3-6 months 6-12 months ago now...) so I can get 50Mbps Down/25 Mbps up for $50US.

lol the currency in India is INR which is called Indian rupee. lol even when i was a kid i use to wonder if hyrule is somewhere in India. I am not sure I must find out why Zelda has rupee in itÂ

EDIT: this is what i found at wiki lol.

Currency
The currency of the Zelda series is called the Rupee (which shares its name with the real world currency in India), and is used in the lands of Hyrule, Koholint Island, Termina, Labrynna, and Holodrum. Rupees resemble hexagonical crystals or gems, and come in various colors which determine value.

Hahaha, I guess I knew that before but I forgot

Right now i pay around what translates to 56-57$ US for internet and modem rental (rental is about 4.50$, i could buy it for around 104$ US). I get 8Mbps down, 1Mbps up. Torrents were throttled, then they fixed it so you couldnt upload anymore, then they refixed it so you can't do much with torrents anyway.... Rince and repeat.

EDIT : im in Canada.

EDIT EDIT : Got a 100 gig limit up/down per month, not yet enforced, about to be in a month or two.

30€/month 20Mb/down 4Mb/up + free phone worldwide + a lot of tv channels (roughly 300) + the rented modem is split into a router and a tv module with a harddisk based recorder which can play divx. I dunno if this kind of added stuff is common to your providers. But it is really nice

I'm with Virgin media in the UK. 20mb download and 1mb upload. It costs £29.99 for ther first 12 months if your a new customer. The full price is £37.99. Its unlimited as well, unlike most of the UK ISP that claim they are then send you nasty letters when you go over 60gb a month. They do have traffic management so if I download over 3gb between 4pm and 4am, I'm capped to 6mb.

I'm paying 29 EUR for a crappy 3 Mbit connection here... I just wish the folks at my phone company would update the telephone central so I can get a 20 Mbit connection for the same price. Especially since I live only 300 meters away from it, enabling me to actually get that speed...
