how much do you game?

Hey guys. I have to do a project for my statistics project and I decided to find the average time a gamer plays video games in a day. If you play more than 10 hours a day, please state how many hours. Thank guys

There are days however where ill play BF2142 for like 4+ hours... But on a daily average < ~1 hour

it all depends really. i haent played much lately roughly 1-2 hours, it depends on what game and the mood. sometimes me and my girlfriend will play melee for hours, other times i may just play 30 mins on scarface. its random really. i havent been on at all today

well it's quite hard to say because like LoP said if there's a new game i tend to average more hours on it. so i'll say around an hour because some days it's less and others it's alot more.

Probably it's abour an hour a day but it really variates, sometimes i play all day long... but on the other hand, that's only when i'm out of things to do

I used to play 5+ hours but now I'm doing some islamic studies which is hard as hell. I used to do that along with my regular A-levels(which i did all in 1 year, THATS RIGHT! A 2 year course in 1 year!!)
I only play an hour a day since more of my time freed up.
I coulds just play more but that would require me to give up sleep.
Give up sleep -->decreasein academic achievements(which will be noticed straight away)
Decrease in academic achievements --> pissed parents
Pissed parents --> no more gaming

I do too much web surfing to play games. I'm not sure why but for some reason I spend more time discussing games than actually playing them. I think for every hour I played WoW I spent 3 in the forums discussing WoW. I had to poke myself and be like, "Dude, you could actually play the game, you know"

30 mins on Bomberman today, and about 30 with the kids on Super Monkey Ball.
Rainbow Six ensnares me for an hour or so, 2 or 3 times a week, if my buddies are online and the kids are sacked out good and proper.

30mins-1hr on the DS before bed, plus 3-4 on the PS2 on random days when I feel like it. So I'm gonna average that to 2hrs a day per week.

i feel like i've neglected a pet if i don't play for at least an hour. i'd say 2 hours daily is average.

Thanks for the data guys. I got a 98% on the project(just because I forgot to write the word "not"). On a side note, a University in Utah did this and they averaged 3.14 hours. For some reason, I figured people played for several hours a day. I guess everyone grows up and gets jobs/school/families and has less time for games.

Hours per week would have been a better measure as lots of people don't have much time on weekdays because of work / school, but end up playing on the weekend for 10 or so hours.
