I'm on a 9.2 O3DS XL with menuhax coldboot to RxTools 10.4 EmuNAND via BootCtr.
It takes about 26 seconds to get to the EmuNAND Home Menu.

How long does it take for your 3DS to coldboot hax and what method are you using?

N3DS. Pretty long. I've timed it including steps
at 10 seconds the menuhax splashscreen displays
at 16 seconds it shows ctrbootmanager which does a 3 sec countdown
then at 32 seconds the home menu. So that would be 29 without the delay in ctr.
I think I have a shitty sd-card

That's weird. I'm n3ds ctrbootmanager to rxtools (or homebrew) and It's about 12 seconds for me. I'm on emunand 9.5 though so that may be the reason why. I'm seeing that people on n3ds emunand 10.4 have longer boot times.

Old 3DS,

SysNAND 9.2, EmuNAND 10.4,

CtrBootManager (3-second countdown) and rxTools.

That shouldn't have any effect on boot speed. >>

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
