I don't enjoy the prospect of backing up EVERY LITTLE SAVE I make.

I mean...I see horror stories here about people who turn on their G6 Lite's one day out of the blue and find all their DS save data gone.

    Which terrifies me.

It happened to me once, in Animal Crossing. I bought my G6 when they first came out, and that's the only time I have had it happen and it was probably my fault anyways. I usually turn my G6 back on to write the save files before I stop using it, which might help, I just hope all G6's don't die at the same time, I've seen that happen with electronics before, look good for a year or so and then all of them break at once. But I feel pretty confident that they won't, I beat the crap out of mine using it to play movies, constantly uploading and deleting stuff. I haven't formatted mine to this very day.

I never had a problem with the saves on my G6 when I had it, and the guy I sold it to hasn't had any problems either.

If you're worried about losing your saves, but you don't want to back them up manually, there are a few autorun scripts that will back them up automatically every time you connect the G6 to the PC. The posts for them are quite a few pages back in this forum.

If the battery in your G6 dies, then it won't hold the last save after you switch off. If this happens you'll need to reset your G6 back to the main menu, at which point the battery save is transferred to the flash memory (i.e. not reliant on your battery).

Few questions.........will it be smart or stupid to trip every rom?

Or enable Real Time Saving for every rom?

I've always trimmed every rom, and it's never caused a problem for me.

Real time saving only applies to GBA games, and it does cause problems with some of them. Don't enable it unless you actually want to use it.

This is probably happening because your battery is dying or dead. Try charging it with the plugged into your computer for a couple hours to charge it. You may have to replace it if the battery doesn't hold a charge.

How would lacking respect for an inanimate obejct alter the way it performs?

Well, if let's say, you build a long bridge across the mouth of a seemingly lifeless volcano, and then build yourself a little house on the middle of this bridge. With your apparent disrespect for this inanimate object - which is the volcano - you will eventually change the result of the next volcanic eruption, causing it to burn both your house and bridge, those things that you had put your WHOLE life into, to ashes. And you will then cry: "Oh crap, I should've respected my G6 more." [IMG]

So now you can see how disrespect alters an inanimate object's performance.

    lol
