Hacking How do you use an old 3DS SD card with a New 3DS?

Is it possible to use an old SD card with a New 3DS without formatting it again?
If so, how do you do it?
Do you have to rename certain files (e.g. Nintendo 3DS folders)?
I know the boot stuff for Ninjhax and RxTools needs to be replaced, but is there anything else?

I know, but I am asking about whether or not it is necessary to replace all of the files on the cards or not.

If I put the old card into the New 3DS, will it create a new profile folder and not use the old profile folder's files?
If so, would they be able to be moved into the new profile's folder?

you can't put the old card into the n3ds. it won't fit. although you can copy all your data between the cards after you have done a system update

Just created emunand partition on the msd card then copy all old files to the new card.

BTW,did you do system transfer?

The old and new cards are both are microSD cards.

you have to do a system transfer to have your data from your previous console to your new console

it depends on whether you are in emunand or sysnand when you do the transfer.

Here's a really simple guide on what you need to do:

1. Setup an emuNAND (you can do a9lh later) first.
2. Install all non-legit cias.
3. Do system transfer from your old3ds emuNAND to your new3ds emuNAND.
4. Move over all the files and folers aside from the Nintendo 3DS folder.

The reason you need to install your non-legit cias first is because those aren't transferred when you do a system transfer.
