I've tried signing up to post a reply on kotaku before, but nothing seemed to actually happen after I hit 'send' or whatever? Is there a special procedure one must follow in order to post a reply there?

I wanted to sign up there to post a reply to someone's comment. lol
But even after I've created an account there I still couldn't make a reply? I'm not sure but it seems they have a separate process for posting comments.

I got to that screen by trying to post a comment without being logged in. Your comment probably just hasn't shown up yet because they prescreen comments or they don't show all of them by default or something.
