I see it as half.
Depends on how thirsty I am.
It depends on what the last action was. If it was empty and then filled, it's half full. If it was full and then poured out or drunk then it's half empty.
Half empty...still don't understand the point of this poll
There is no spoon... err, glass.
Best answer so far in my opinion
Anyway, I see it as half full. But in the case when I'm thirsty, things change
There's no option for "Who's the M.F. that drank half my water?"
no preference, but usually when i say it without thinking i say "half empty". half full doesnt sound right
Allow me to elaborate.
If I'm thirsty, then it's half full, because there's something there for me to drink.
If I need the glass for something else (eg. dump out the water, pour in the tequila), then it's half empty. I don't care about what's already in it. I need it completely empty before filling it up again.
If neither of the above situations apply, then I don't care if it's half empty or half full. It is just a glass.
I see a glass twice as big as it needs to be...
My thoughts exactly .
50% water, 50% air.
Hey waiter, can I have a refill? My glass is not full.
Well, the answer to that question depends on if you're starting out with an empty glass or a full one.
If it's empty and you fill it half way, it's half full.
If it's full and you drink half, it's half empty.
That's my official answer.
