    Linkiboy's thread reminded me of this question, do all Americans say vehicle like vee-hickle?
    Here in England we say it vee-er-cul, or at least we do up North...

    I'm American and I say it without pronouncing the H. Like icicle but with a 'vee' instead of an 'ic'.

    I pronounce it vee-ickle. I don't pronounce a H such as "Hickle"

    anyway being norwegian i never use the word vehicle i just say kjøretøy (not sure how all this pronuce stuff works in text) which is the norwegian word for vehicle

    Same for me. Silent "h", 3 syllables. I would describe it as vee ? kul, as in "Please step out of the..." by a northern cop instead of a southern cop. (I've heard it from both. I'm quite cultured that way.)
