ROM Hack How do you rip songs from GBA games?

I don't know if this is where I'm supposed to ask, but I've been trying to extract the credits BGM from Gyakuten Saiban (Basically, the GBA version of Ace Attorney. The credits music is different in this version.) and convert it to MIDI. Is there any way I can do this easily? I've tried DKG4NAGONA's Sappy extractor, but that does not work on Windows 8, even if I install service pack 6 for Visual Basic 6.0.
So if you could give me long and very detailed instructio- Just kidding, normal instructions are fine, as long as they're easy to follow.
