How do you rate the r4 based on your needs?

For example, if you only care about price and commercial game compatibility, you would only rate the r4 based on those two factors. You wouldn't pay attention to homebrew support, extra features, etc. when rating it. Make sense?

Based on my needs it's just about perfect. I gave it a 9/10. When the few games that need patching get fixed next month It'd be a 10.

The main thing for me is the cheap price and having most the worthwhile features without the gimmicks.

I would swap it for a cyclo but I wouldn't waste my money on one.

Haven't had it for very long, but every game I've thrown at it works flawlessly. It's also got a great price, high availability, and tons of skins... I couldn't care less about SDHC or homebrew stuff, so that's all irrelevant to me. I just want it to play games, and my experiences have been perfect in that regard. 10/10 from me.

Based on my needs i rated it 10/10

I needed it to play some games, which it does perfectly.
I wanted it to play movies and music, which also it does an awesome job,
I pretty much got the R4 for all the multimedia stuff it can do
All the home brew i wanted to try all works

Although SDHC support would be awesome, more movies and stuff =]

Couldn't be happier with it to be honest.

The r4 has 100% support, just a few games need patching (less than most other chips!) and castlevania, tony hawk may have slowdowns depending on your microsd.

R4 is pretty easy to set up, just drag and drop. Games are all that matters for the DS so I wouldn't really care about homebrews and such, that's for people who want their DS to be a multimedia device.

Does every damn thing I tell it to do. Play my Homebrew! Play my DS ROMs! It runs all my favorite emulators.

It's practically perfect. I never vote 10/10. Nothing is perfect in this world. Therefore... My final score is a 9.

If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction
