Hacking Homebrew How do you install a WiiWare/VC games folder in WiiFlow than manually installing each .wad file?

As you can see, I have a very large selection of WiiWare/Virtual Console games.

In order to have them on my WiiFlow
‘WiiWare Virtual Console Emu NAND’
I have to manually install each and every single .wad file.

This is very time consuming and I can easily lose track. Surely there’s a better/faster way to install the full folder, right? I don’t understand why this isn’t an option here.

If anyone can help, would be greatly appreciated!

@XFlak any ideas mate? I haven’t a clue when it comes to VC/WiiWare games.

One things for sure, I gave up installing them manually after page 10 LMAO, still got 110 pages to go. If someone has the answer I summon you 🙏🥹

Use showmiiwads or modmii to edit emunands on PC. Iirc when it's done on the wii it doesn't handle something correctly, not to mention it's faster on PC

The OP says he's installing them individually using yawmme, but it has a batch install feature if u mark them using the + button, or hold + to select all for installation

@XFlak I am installing them individually inside WiiFlow itself, In the WiiWare section of WiiFlow Lite in Rhapsoddi Shiima theme.

What application can I use on the Wii, where are these files even installing to? I’m hella confused 🫤 I’m sorry to bombard you with a noobish question but I’m honestly lost

Download ShowMiiWads https://wiibrew.org/wiki/ShowMiiWads, extract to a folder on your PC, copy your WiiFlow EmuNand folder ("USB:/nands" or "SD:/nands") to your pc,

On Options -> Change NAND Backup Path select the folder of your EmuNAND folder

be sure you select the name of the emunand:

you must to select the folder containing «Shared1» and «Shared2» etc.

Then select the option ShowMiNand on view menu.

Then select all *.WAD files drag and drop to the ShowMiiWad dialog,

Last, Press the install link at bottom of the dialog, that can take a while

Now all WAD files are installed on your EmuNAND folder, you can backup the one on your USB (or SD) and copy the edited one.

Test it.

Thanks for your help

But that software is awful, Just get a (Not Responding) when dragging a single .wad file into it

I'll just manually install them all :(

RIP my time. Baffles me how there's not a single tutorial on this hahaha madness

@OfficialRammy buddy, I just make this test:

Using Wiiflow dump again my current NAND on a new EmuNAND folder, copied that folder to my PC, made the steps on https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-do-...installing-each-wad-file.659117/post-10469419 installing 64 WAD files of about 1.5 GB and took 79 seconds to install all of them on the new EmuNAND,

try to do the process on your hard drive not on your SD or USB drive.

Brother 🙏 thank you so much for your help @impeeza

The application kept saying ‘not responding’ abit like FuzzyRename does. It was transferring/copying the files all along. I just assumed the Application crashed and was faulty.

One thing I didn’t do was back anything up, I’ve been scared all day cause I did that and transferred all of my data from a 128gb sd to a new 512GB SD Card :D

I’ve just plugged it in, praying I didn’t brick my system and here I am.. my full WiiWare/VC collection inside WiiFlow with no hiccups. All ready to go.

I can’t believe I was about to manually install each and every.wad file 🤣 this is me done with EmuNand now. All thanks to you, watch out for my future YouTube video where I’ll be showcasing ‘Modded Wii For 2025 and beyond’ I’ll be sure to shout you out broski ❤️ much love!
