you will NEED to BUY the PSP game form the PSN store

keep your eye on this site for VHBL updates

there is NOT ETA on when it will be out

and there may be a FW update BEFORE VHBL for 1.81 is ready

Wasn't Urbanix taken down after the Total Noob's 6.60 PSP Emulator Custom Firmware? If so, there's a high chance that the kernel as well as user mode exploits are patched if it's on PSN.

Urbanix was indeed taken down. Apparently, it's still sold at Gamestop, but using the code gives you an error on PSN.

Darn, I'm soooo lttp on the Sony/homebrew scene...ah well hopefully theres an exploit soon. It seems with every attempt Sony makes to block hackers, Wololo strikes back with a "Shoryuken" of his own :)

If you haven't already, you need to go over to the Wololo forums and register ASAP. They're going to be gearing up for a Ninja Release, so this will be your last chance to get in on 1.81.

Guys let me get this straight coz i haven't followed the PSP mode hack.

When a new game exploit comes out, we can install the VHBL with PSP mode right?
Will the hack always be there or will it be disabled once you update the Vita's firmware?

Updates will fix it, and Sony will remove the game from the store once they find out about it.

EDIT: So at this point you're still better off getting a PSP for homebrew.

I will spend $10 to try this Vita PSP mode hacking a try.
Im sure once 1.82 or whatever update comes, the eCFW will be gone.
I think there won't be a "permanent" hack for this anymore IF you like to go online (which i do most of the time)..

    EDIT:
The PSP game is still there. just downloaded it

Correct. Sony will patch out this exploit in the next firmware.

The instructions are brief, but it should be enough to get you started. You're basically copying over the exploit using OpenCMA, and then copying over any games/homebrew.
