It won't even allow me to access the homebrew launcher. Or anything on the microSD.

are you using ipatched switch? if that so afaik no other way than to officially update then

sorry I thought you couldn't run cfw
try using a smaller microsd card formatted in fat32 to update your switch using choidujournx

If you're gonna use homebrew i highly recomend sticking to fat32

I'm not here to debate exfat vs fat32
