OP
My Wii has Gamecube support, so I bought both Pokemon games as well as a memory card and a GBA to GCN cable. I tried to play Colosseum, but I control anything. I bought another link cable, this time an official Nintendo one off of eBay, but I still can't do anything. Am I doing something wrong?

That just won't work. The GBA connectivity in Colosseum is for trading/battling. There's no controller support
Really? I read that it can be used to trade between games or to control battles with. I guess I should look into getting a real controller then :/

The previous gen consoles are way better imo.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
I find current gen stupid and pointless imho.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
graphics didn't change that much from the ps4 to ps5 for example.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
also sucks that games need to be installed
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
I buy a game and need to wait 1h or so to play the game (installation + updates)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Honestly, the PS2, Dreamcast, Xbox and the GameCube, are the very last best consoles you'd want to have with brilliant hardware.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
the jump from the ps1 to ps2 was pretty big, although graphically the n64 and gamecube were better
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
I can only imagine how better the 64 would be if cartridges were as big as cd's
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Skelletonike, There was an unlicensed CD add-on for the N64 called the Doctor V64.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Rare also used it to develop games too surprisingly.
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
    didn't know that
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
In general I do prefer media on cartridges over cds/dvds though
