So I want a bigger internal hdd but for it to have all the games and data on the current hdd and for it to keep cfw (obviously). Just need to know how would I get it from one internal hdd to another? Can I just transfer the stuff to my external? then install the new hdd then transfer it back? Or is there some other way?

I don't understand how to FTP from PS3 to PC can someone explain that? It just says to do it in that other thread but I'm not sure how. I have to connect my PS3 to my PC with ethernet?

You put an ftp app on your ps3 and file I'll a on your pc and you ftp.

If you don't know how to ftp that's a bigger issue but not too difficult just look at google

There is a setting in rebug for hdd transfer. You just need to select that option then it will prompt you to connect a original dualshock 3 controller, and you will need to have your larger hdd connected to the right USB port to do the transfer.
