Best thing to do is back up all your files from the PS3 to a USB external hard drive first, then you can install a new hard drive in the PS3, install the Official Firmware on new hard drive, reinstall the HEN mod, then copy your files back to the PS3 from the USB external hard drive. Or simply just use a USB external hard drive for more storage leaving the PS3 as is.

What BigOnYa said except that you can install HFW right after formatting the new disk, no need to install OFW first.

Use multiple USBs, transfer some files to the USB at a time and move them to your PC, do whatever you gotta do. I'm sure you can find some space somewhere.
fuck it im gonna go work for the mafia in order to afford a usb

You can also pull them through the network to your PC using FTP.

Could the wii do that? Most definitely not
Well, Wii games are all on USB disk / SD card anyway. The only thing you need to transfer is saved games, and they can also be copied to SD card, even on unmodded systems.
