Hacking How do i update my r4i gold 1.4 kernel ?

Hi, I just sing up on this forum cause i got a problem.

Here's everything about my r4

-R4i gold
- it's written V.1.4 on the box
-it's written V.3.4 on the top of the home page
-My dsi XL detect my r4 as "Alex Rider Stormbreaker THQ"
-the website is www.r4igold.cn

I just download pokemon black 2 but i can't load it cause my kernel's too old

When i go to the websit there's only two version. I download them but i don't know how to install it .

You generally just unzip it onto the MicroSD, replacing the files that are already there.

There's only one File name :r4i gold 3ds v.???*& r4i gold v.1.4.5

*i don't remember the version

When i try to put it in my r4 it say that there's an error (i use winrar)

I can't right now. But is it normal that there isn't any other file than that? (i decompressed it)

Nope, normally the cart's software is one main file and a folder or two with other stuff.

On the website it say that i have to copy the r4.dat and the moonshl2 file but they aren't there, so i suppose i don't have the right file. Could you give me a link for the most recent kernel for the r4i gold ?

There's two link: upgrade firmware area and download kernel area

Which one do i choose?

You want the kernel.

And the "root" means no folder.
