I'd try messing with different things, then. Try reinstalling the sysupdater CIA with the one I linked, try a different update pack from a different source, try installing the same update as your current version, etc. Pull all the levers until the thing stops giving you trouble and works like it ought to =P

I think the biggest milestone to pass here is first getting sysupdater to work, I'll try reinstalling it and see what happens

Reinstalled it, (exact same version) and I still get the same error

Does it matter if I click update or downgrade? I mean the files ARE for 10.5

I'm guessing that it would matter since upgrades are upgrades and downgrades are downgrades. They probably make a distinction on purpose.

I think the next course of action would be to try a different upgrade pack.

@xZaggin, if I were you, I'd get a copy of savedatafiler, backup everything from emunand and the sd itself, then format the bitch. The entire card including the emunand partition. Create a new emunand, update it via system settings, then restore everything. It sounds like you have a serious problem with some titles in the fw. Like you tried to update it before and it overwrote a handful of titles. If you manage to update, it will still be frankenware.

Going for 10.3.0-28 right now hopefully this works

This sounds like a last resort I'm getting closer to.

I already got savedatafiler installed, If I were to format the entire card and get rid of my emunand how would I go about creating a new emunand?
through sysnand?

also, what's frankenware?

Yeah. You'd spawn a new emunand from your sysnand just like you did when you first created it.

Frankenfirmware just means that you've got bits and pieces of different firmware versions kinda mashed together instead of having everything be from one version like it should be. This can cause issues similar to what you're getting.

Yeah seems like that's the solution I'll be going for, I just have to wait until sunday because I can't risk not having my 3DS tomorrow.
Basically what happened was 10.3 install didn't do anything, I managed to download 10.6 off 3DNUS and install it
NATIVE_FIRM Installed and another 7 CIA's then it failed and asked me if I placed my CIA's in the update folder.

after that it only gave me the same error I got with 10.5.

So regarding the fresh emunand shit can you point me to a good tutorial, it's been a while since I had done this, obviously I'll be starting from a halfway point considering I already downgraded sysNAND to 9.2 where do I go from there, will my NANDS still be unlinked?
