OK, now I regret flashing my 360. For those of you that have been following my other post, the disc drive is still broken. I would like to RROD my 360 so I can get a free repair (I still have the warranty sticker). I'm aware that it will no longer be flashed, but I don't care. I just want a working 360 [IMG]

Wrap it in towels and play it like that until it overheats itself to death?

Play as you normally would for 3-5 business days.

Would need to open it up for that, and the jesus clip makes sure they'll be able to see that you did and will refuse, or charge you.

Thus, fucking it up from the outside is the best option.

Uh, plug it into a Outlet which is connected to a wall switch, then turn it on, flip the switch, turn it on, flip the switch.

    Repeat 5-100 times.

^^ looks okish.. too blurry to tell

I assumed fudgenuts already opened it already, and heated up the sticker and removed it cleanly... You can always buy a sticker on eBay.... but yeah its not a really good option. Also overheating it doesn't mean it will get a rrod, it may take a while depending on how new the system is. Its the heating and cooling, and motherboard flexing.

Has anyone here ever sent a 360 back to MS with the sticker peeled off and put back on again?

Just destroy one of the resistors near the GPU/CPU and it'll RROD.

Good luck in hoping they won't notice, though.

Otherwise, get the entire motherboard out, heat it up with a freaking heat gun, then flex it a lot, leave it to cool down (while still getting flexed), then when it cools down, straighten it up.
A lot of solderings will probably crack and you'll have a nice RROD.

I remember reading somewhere that overheating (using it for ages with the fans covered) then cooling it down quickly (putting it in the freezer for a while) causes condensation to form inside and helps speed up the process a bit, this is probably why so many people who tried to fix it just made it worse

Lets just say I would prefer something that doesn't involve opening the 360.

Good luck in making it RROD then. Especially if it's a newer one.

I guess your only way would be the towel trick then.

Warapping it in towels, and playing will pretty much do the trick.

Try doing the towel trick, but with the console upside down. Otherwise turn it upside down, stick something inside the back of the fans to stop them turning, and leave it powered on until it RROD's. You could probably get away with just jamming the GPU fan.
