I downloaded ezpda rombuilder but I have no idea how to use it. I also found "Ez4skinr70907ds" online and it tells you how to do everything and I followed all the steps (to the best of my knowledge) and thought I had it all figured out, but when I tried loading it up everything was the same. Could someone walk me through this? I've looked everywhere for help on this, but I couldn't find anything.
Thanks in advance.

I brought up all the relevant info for someone a few months ago here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/ez-flash-4-lite-keeps-updating.381791/

Depending on what version the EZ-IV kernel you want to work with can all be found on filetrip. There is a link to filetrip in the forum menu. You can find nearly all files related to flashcarts there.

Most people posted some of there custom skinned version here: http://gbatemp.net/forums/gba-flashing-hardware-and-software.6/
Or you can use filetrip to find the files without previewing them.

Older skins can be found here: https://ezflash.sosuke.com/viewforum.php?f=13
(Using older skins with lower than 1.75 kernels on the new EZ-IV can produce errors)
(Majority of links are dead)

Any EZ-IV kernel 1.75, by default will not have DS binary loading code. A newly modified kernel would have to be flashed to the EZ-IV before use, assuming this was your problem to why nothing changed for you. Putting a copy of just the new kernel on the microSD doesn't do anything to the existing kernel in NOR.
