Hey I was just wondering how do I make my own Xbox 360 backups.
With a Kreon drive or a 360 drive hooked up to a X360 USB pro v2/X360 USB Pro & Connectivity kit.
And to rip the discs, you'll need to use Xbox Backup Creator.
you can use a xk3y Gecko too
Got a link?
Hmm I see.
Neat feature but a 0800 drive would be a cheaper solution ;p
I picked up a Benq 0800 from ebay. When I plug it into my Windows 7 machine it fails to install. Is there a trick to make it work?
Verify that Jungleflasher sees the drive and then load up XBC.
Windows won't mount it so I can get Jungleflasher to see it.
Windows normally shouldn't mount it..
How did you power it?
Sure the drive is receiving power?
Eject etc works (if you got a 360 USB Pro)
Sata cable not faulty?
The drive has power. I am able to get the tray to open and close. I'm using a SATA to USB adapter which I've used on other HDD without issue. I thought windows had to mount it in order to be able to use it. I will load up Xbox Backup Creator and see what happens.
Prolly an incompatible SATA chipset then.
Not all SATA controllers are compatible with Jungleflasher ;]
Nope, Xbox Backup Creator only sees my regular DVD drive.
Then it's likely that your SATA controller isn't compatible.
Only way to get around it is to get a X360 USB Pro then.
Well crap. Thanks for the info.
Aye no problem ;]
I'd check ebay.
Maybe that there are some cheap ones ;]
Thanks Dinoh, I ordered a x360 usb pro. Turns out the benq drive I picked up had a bad flash. I flashed it again with 0800, and it works fine now. I finally was able to rip one of my games. It will be nice to not have to use disks anymore.
Good luck with the hours spent on ripping the games ;p
