ROM Hack How do I hack pokemon on a cartridge?

So I want to get a few event pokemon and items on my diamond cartridge when I decide to make a new game. I know that is relatively simple for a R4 cart, but that is just the case: I have the actual game, I can't edit the memory of the game just like that. So I want a few mystery event pokemon(like the 2010 hawaii world championship crobat) and the azure flute. Is there a free, easy way to do it, or will I have to spend some money on a action replay?

Unfortunately, your easiest option is to purchase an Action Replay.

if you have an R4, and a ds lite (or fat) you can edit the save on your diamond cartridge
