Hacking How do I get HBC to load things off my external harddrive?

I have a Australian (PAL) Wii and have used Modmii to hack my Wii, I have a couple of questions:

1. I used the indiana pwns exploit and my SD card to hack my wii but now seeing as an SD card has limited space how do I get everything to run off my external harddrive I tried just copying what was on my SD card to the root of my external harddrive but when I run HBC nothing shows up! Fix? O_O

2. If I have nothing plugged into SD will HBB just save to my external HD?

3. Does anything else in modmii need to be changed to work with my external HD?

When on homebrew channel press 1, the chose to use your HDD.

The HDD also has to be formatted as FAT32, NTFS and others won't work.
