Homebrew How do I download games onto my hdd with Wup Installer?

So i'm new to homebrewing and I purchased myself an external hard drive and because i'm an idiot, I have no clue how to download games onto it with Wup Installer. So how do I do it?

Did you install Custom Firmware (CFW) in your console already? If not, follow the tutorial from wiiu.hacks.guide and you can install games using WUP Installer GX2 that should be launched from the HBL app.

wupinstaller (the original) does not "download" anything, it installs a title in installable format (*.app, *.h3, title.tik, ...) from the /install/ folder on the SD to (MLC or USB)

if you're using a multi-title variant of wupinstaller, such as the "Y-mod" I recommend or the disgusting "GX2", you have to put those files in a subfolder without fancy symbols or accents, for example /install/Xenoblade X [324214]/{0000000.app, etc}

if using the official systemconfigtool, you can put the folder containing those files pretty much anywhere on SD

As others said: WUP Installer won't download. Use NUSspli (see my signature) to download and install in one step.
