I'm trying to use Priiloader to autoboot the USB loader dol file but it just keeps taking me to a black screen, plz help!
I did this and now works fine but if I change any settings in Priiloader it goes back to not seeing my hdput the unziped UNEO Channel Booter for Priiloader dol file in the SD card root (I. E. SD:/boot_whatever_name.dol
How did you get it to work cuz my channel works off the menu but not on Priiloader. I installed the usb loader gx wad. Am I suppose to install the uneoboot.dol instead?Hi, Softmoded my Wii two days ago with the guide at groovypost.
Every things work, but i want to boot to USBloader GX.
I Have tried two evenings now reading guides and test many things but i cant get it to work, some settings in my Wii must be wrong.
If i try to use Bootmii boot2 the Wii freeze ever time i get to the boot menu, the Wii always freeze when using Bootmii IOS. If i replace the ppcboot.elf in the bootmii folder with ppcboot.elf from bootmii mod UNEO.zip it boots to blackscreen.
When using priiloader way the UNEO Forwarder (USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_5_1_AHBPROT.wad) works fine.
I put the unziped UNEO Channel Booter for Priiloader files in this path SD:\apps\UNEO Channel Booter for Priiloader\
In Priiloader boot menu i cant find the uneoboot.dol under Load\Install File.
If i click Installed File, and follow the instruction it freeze at the end att the countdown at 5s.
Other things to know:
Wad Manger 1.7 is not listed in homebrew channel, and if i start it another way i think it freezes, the music start but no connection to the wii remote.
The Wii software version is 4.3E.

Ok got it working by installing the dol file. Now what do the settings need to be changed to in Priiloader? iOS 249?Installing the forwarder dol only makes update easier. The internal update function replace the dol on the SD card, and some of the path selection rely on where the dol is located on the device (sd or usb, etc.)
having the dol installed on internal memory can create issues if it's the first time you launch the loader.
Installing the forwarder dol is still not the best option, as the loader requires AHB Access, which is only granted by HBC or a channel. Priiloader doesn't provide necessary rights to the dol to work correctly.
The proper way to launch the loader from boot is to go through the forwarder channel. have priiloader launch the channel, not the dol:
- copy the UNEO Forwarder wad on SD
- copy the "UNEO launcher for priiloader" dol on SD (extract the zip to get the dol)
- Install the wad wih a wad manager
- install the dol into priiloader's boot menu
- copy/install the loader's dol on SD or usb (SD is recommended !! USB has init issue and is slower to mount)
Another method, if you have Bootmii@boot2, is the bootmii mod to launch UNEO forwarder.
instead of using priiloader to launch that channel, you use bootmii (which is run even before priiloader)
Ok now that I got Bootmii loading straight into USB Loader GX I heard there is a switch to turn it off? What’s it called?Installing the forwarder dol only makes update easier. Yeah I’m using Priiloader to autoboot into USB Loader GX and heard there was an easy way to turn it off so I can just boot back to sysmenuI don't know what you are talking about nor what you are trying to do.
are you sure you boot usbgx from bootmii, not priiloader?
you installed bootmii@boot2? then the channel forwarder, then you replaced sd:/bootmii/armboot.bin with the one to boot the UNEO channel instead of the IOS slot 254?
if you did that, yes it's bootmii launching USBGX.
but, then, what do you call "turn it off" ? the loader, the console, bootmii autoboot?
really, bootmii shouldn't be used for that, if you want to autoboot, why would you want to disable it? you want it or not, not both.
personnaly, I use bootmii@boot2 to autoboot HBC, then from here I choose which homebrew I want, or (rarely) exit to sysmenu if needed.
If you want to switch off completely the autoboot of bootmii, restore the original sd:/bootmii/armboot.bin (if you want official bootmii menu)
use bootmii cfg to autoboot HBC instead.
and then use bootmii cfg to set autoboot delay to 0 and proper video mode.
if you want to bypass the autoboot, don't set delay to 0, but something like 1, where you can skip the autoboot and go into bootmii interface but you'll need reset/power on the console to navigate.
If you want to autoboot the loader, I think Priiloader is a better solution, as the loader itself has an option to interact with priiloader's booting process if you lock the loader (parental control) to prevent exiting to sysmenu. exiting the loader launches priiloader (sysmenu TitleID) with the info to not launch the real sysmenu, so it return to usbgx.
I know this is an old post but I am having some trouble. So I just modded my Wii with everything, I've put the forwarder folder in the apps and dol in the sd card root, installed the dol and then changed the settings to Autoboot into Installed File and Return to Autoboot but when I turn on the Wii it boots into BootMii 2 then I have to press the Reset button to select Wii option which is actually USB Loader GX. My question is, how can I just set the Wii to boot into USB Loader GX without having to press the Reset button. I want it to just boot into USB Loader GX by itself.again, I'm not sure what easyway you mean.
Priiloader is available at console boot only, and therefore you can only affect it at that time, by pressing Reset when powering the console.
Once you are in priiloader menu, just select boot sysmenu to (temporarily, just this time) boot to sysmenu instead of the default choice (which should be boot the installed dol).
Another method to go to SysMenu is from USBLoaderGX. let the console boot the loader, then exit the loader to system menu. it's like USBLoaderGX is your main console's interface, you do things from here : launch game, go to system menu, go to HBC, etc.
Like I said, if your loader is in Locked mode, and you are trying to access HBC but it only reboot into USBGX, it's because of the default behavior of locked mode to prevent kids from accessing SysMenu. You can de/activate Priiloader bypassing in USBLoaderGX settings>parental control menu.
Am I really lucky? Why is that? Can you tell me some examples of what can you do with a bootmii to boot2 console?Sounds like you are lucky enough to own a console capable of installing bootmii to boot2. Simply rename the bootmii folder on your sd card to something different, like bootmii-off or whatever
Whats happening is bootmii boot2 is loading before priiloader
