i myself finished it by going to world 4 from 1 then to 8 from 4 lol
i preferred doing all levels i mean it only takes like 30 minutes to run through every level in the game lol
Yeah but it takes even less with warp zones
but that takes the fun out of the game if you just go from world 1 to world 8 in 4 levels
Yes that's why even though I went through one I didn't play that world I played start to end 1 by 1.
I use warps when I want to just play it at random times, but I've beaten it before without warps. Speaking of SMB1, I should start working on my level-hack again, made with YY-MarioEditor.
I finished all the leves in my veeeery old nes without the warp zones
I remembered trying to finish the game as fast as possible without dying. I used the warps too.
I didnt! I did play all those worlds(the water levels are my fav.)
I finished it with and without using the warps, to see the difference in play time.
I finished all the Mario Allstars games (1, 2, 3 and Lost Levels) without using warp pipes. I didn't know about console piracy back then and games were more expensive so I had to wring out every last bit of entertainment possible.
What's the point in buying a £45 game and only playing £17 worth?
Last time I played that game was back when I was like 7, and I got to 8-4 but i couldn't beat it, so I let my neighbour do it for me. Same for the "second quest" (dunno if that was there in the NES version, I played it on my gbc, which was essentially a remake.
thats the way i did it too
it is hard to finish it without level skipping pipes altought i didnt tried
I beat it once, along time ago though. I used the world warping piles.
