Just thought id mention the fact that ive turned my nintendo wifi connector into a portable router, at full speed aswell, amazing that like.
Iv'e new this for ages now like, but since i sold my old router and iv'e just bought my lass a new laptop, i need wireless for her, so I decided to try it out and YES works PERFECT.... Also if you haven't noticed wifi connector sometimes F**KS UP on your pc when you reboot etc, sometimes you have to take your firewall off, or reinstall the connector.

If you want to use the official Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector as a standard SoftAP or put it into Infrastructure or Ad-Hoc modes:
Before you continue, make sure you have removed the Nintendo software and drivers as they will no longer be needed.

Get in touch with users on here that got the folder, as the link is supposedly broken to other users now, and i dont have the folder no more Sorry.

Its ok, take the sting out of it why don't you, i thought id give it a whirl, and share the files to make it easier for people if they want it*

But yeah, you're right this is old information, but allot of people still don't know about it*

Wow, ur special. Did a football helmet come with that tutorial? [IMG]

No seriously, like 99% of Nintendo Wifi Connector owners know about this (and it's not like anyone's bought the device in a while since it's been discontinued). [IMG]

I don't mean for this post to sound rude, but it is something most people do know about already.

I could post a Linux tutorial, but in the newer kernels rt2570 devices work out-of-the-box, provided when you 'make xconfig' it you select rt2570 driver.

Guys, stop being so damn rude!

I had no clue of this.

This sounds so awesome. I'm trying it right now. But how do I "install" the files that are in the "Drivers" folder in the rar?

Don't worry man, this is cool. I had no idea you could do this. Thanks for filling me in.

Oh and to the first poster.

Could you re-upload the ASUS files?

Everytime I click the link, it says cannot be found.

*Facepalm* Google is your friends guys it seems that the OP is being a douche about it and not uploading it to somewhere we can reach it (Megaupload). I've known about this for a few years, theres a video on youtube showing you how to do it too, if you want, search it on there, it's better than the information he let out as it's step by step, the quote in the second post is basically a text version though
