How come you can't use an USB controller on Wii?

You can do it on Nintendont, but not on Wii or VC games, I wish it could be possible to emulate the GC or Classic Controller via USB, since I can't find one.

You would need to create a custom cIOS to add HID support or something. I could be wrong, but thats how I heard it could be done.

Wii games are linked to static libraries and the IOS the dev kit they were compiled for. It's up to the game developer to implement any control schemes that aren't provided by Nintendo (Remote, Nunchuk, CC, GC) so those would have to be patched into a cIOS and somehow updated while the game is running. Nobody has written a USB HID plugin for d2x to intercept those commands and translate them to gamepad commands so... no support.
