Just use an official game to update to 9.2. You can find games that get shipped with the firmware at http://3ds.essh.co/ (just search for 9.2.0).

If you have a Sky3DS, use it with a Image of
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS v01
Since it is the only NA Game with 9.2

Why can't you just use the custom themes on EmuNAND?

    Restore your NAND backup?

I'm on 9.0 now, but a NAND backup is not an option for me . I restore my laptop to factory default, removing any and all things I put on there, every few weeks (or months)

That's no excuse. You should keep the NAND backup in a safe place, you never know when you might need it.

I didn't have anything to store it on at the time. I was still using the 2GB SD card that came with my 3DS, and it had EmuNAND on it. Didn't own anything to store it on at the time, and now I only have my 16GB one to store it on

Well, it doesn't matter now I guess. I would recommend making a new NAND backup now that you are on 9.0 though :)

Leave the backup on the SD card of the 3DS, so each time you reset your computer, you'll be able to copy it back on it and always have two backups of your NAND :)

(Especially if you have a 16 GB SD card).
