-1035 means the IOS cant be downgraded

so you must delete IOS30 with anytitledeleter
then reinstall a clean IOS30 with Wadmanager

Thanks, ran into the same problem. the 4.1 to 4.2 upgrade guide worked since it removed cioscrap. I had -1035 error, and used wadmanager 1.5 and use ios250 to install IOS30 v2576. Then follow the upgrade guide to 4.2, and homebrew channel is now installed.

Good luck.

Look for an updated version at:

If this is already the latest version... well, suck it.

Your "pirate" IOS are stubs. run AnyTitle Deleter, and delete IOS249 (and maybe 250), then run a cIOS rev14 installer under IOS60, and it should install cIOS249 rev 14.

Now that you have cIOS249 working again, download the cIOSCORP v3.4 Uninstaller (LU64), and run it. It will replace all cIOSCORP IOS with regular ones.

Now you should be able to run the hackmii installer. Install the Homebrew Channel.

Now that you've got (nearly) everything back, you can finally reinstall the system menu. Since you're PAL region, install version 450 if you want 4.1E, or v482 if you want 4.2E. (But do this step last, as it will overwrite preloader.)

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

    nvm it does support mine
