Hardware How can i recognize my gba sp generation

Hello guys, I have seen some pages about GBA SP generations, I have no "New" GBA SP so I can't really see what is
difference between first and second generation GBA SP .. Is there some way to tell for example serial number? I bought
my GBA SP xmas 2003

do you mean if the screen was front lit or back lit?

You have an older front lit version. The newer back lite came out in 2005.
