I just want to know if there is any way I can play Pokemon Prism 0.94 on any emulator on the 3DS (besides VC). I’ve tried GameYob, mGBA, and Gamebatte with no luck.

GameYob: A bunch of small horizontal lines, nothing else.
mGBA: “Load Failed!”
GameBatte: Shows “Nintendo” and freezes.

I don’t really like the virtual console because it’s lack of features and lower audio quality. Some of the Pokemon cries and other sounds are quite noticeably worse on the VC and it stops me from really enjoying the experience. I just need an emulator that works with 0.94 and isn’t virtual console.

I meant are you using the gameyob 3dsx or CIA? Either way, try the retroarch Gambatte core.
I’m using the CIA version of GameYob from TitleDB. I also tried Gamebatte already and the result was “Nintendo” and a freeze. Though I find it weird that on the VC it didn’t say Nintendo...

Try the 3dsx builds of both. Also that's very odd, it works fine for me. If all else fails, try deleting and redownloading everything in the retroarch folder. Also you can use gameyob on ds with an older version of nds bootstrap or a flashcart, which I heard was near perfect.

What version of the DS version should I get? Also, does the bootstrap even perform well? I heard TWLoader was a huge WIP or something.

Nds bootstrap works near perfectly for nds Homebrew. I would use this build: https://github.com/ahezard/nds-bootstrap/releases/download/V0.1.0/bootstrap.nds as it says it has dldi Homebrew support. The only issue is you would only be able to use twloader for Homebrew and not retail roms. If that isn't ok, try using this version of the Homebrew menu that has nds bootstrap built in, and it looks like to be an older version as well. https://github.com/ahezard/nds-hb-menu/releases/download/V0.5.0-cia-ntr-beta.6/hbmenu_beta6.zip. also here's the link to gameyob on ds. https://filetrip.net/nds-downloads/emulators/download-gameyob-0-5-1-f33577.html

Thank you! I’ll try it out soon.

WOW I just found out what was actually causing the problem. I opened up some files that I transferred because I couldn’t use them and I found that every single byte was set to 0. On my computer the data was intact. So my computer messes up the data when transferring to the SD card directly. I do have an emunand on my sd card and that could be what’s messing it up. What would be a good wireless file transfer method and how would I set it up? (I’m using Linux Mint so MicroSD Management is not an option)
