Gaming How can I get Metal Slug Advanced(ROM) to save?

Alright, Metal Slug Advnaced doesn't save. The game showed up in the "Txt Save" option under the "Auto" file. Can someone help me? I really love this game but I can't save. :'(

I actually have Metal Slug Advanced on my EZ 4 Lite and it's next to me, but I have to wait until my lunch break to test it out (about an hour). I have the US version from the official "scene" release and I sent it via the EZ4 client. I suspect it will save just fine. I'll post back by 1 PDT with my results.

Maybe it will work after I flash me DSL. I'll post if it does.

Just an FYI, there's a flaw in that game that will make it hang if a certain button combination is pressed all at once. It's more likely to happen with the backlit SP2 or the original DS, because of the D-pad design or something, but it is possible with any hardware. Has happened to me every time the first helicopter shows up.

I'm waiting for Metal Slug 1.

Update: Just got done w/ the first mission, saves just fine. Do you have the latest EZ loader? You might want to make sure your ROM is good too (test it out in Visual Boy, etc, and see if it saves there).
