Hacking Question How can i delete emumand and reinstal it?

Hello,

How can i delete my full emunand with Hekate and start from scratch making a new one? I messed something up with nxmtp and now the software i install are always incomplete lol.

In the user partition i deleted the "save" folder and "savemeta" folder, since then i can't boot up games (error 2002-1002) and when i reinstall them be it via USB, or tinfoil/Awoo the little cloud icon appears saying it needs to download more data, but the full data is already installed.

Sounds like you managed to delete the sigpatches somehow, try reinstalling those.

I tried, but it still doesn't work. To be fair i dont mind re installing emunand, i dont have much on it to begin with anyway. I just need to know if i can format my SD card and follow the https://switch.homebrew.guide/ again or not.

And do i need to create a brand new backup? Or does my old one (sysnand) suffice?

You can always format and restart. You wouldn't need to backup sysnand as long as your backup is stored somewhere other than your sd.

I reinstalled my emunand, while checking my sysnand (without CFW) i noticed the games i have installed there are gone too (cloud icon only) is this normal? i did redownload them from the Eshop and they work again, but still weird.

I have only used my switch in emuNAND, but it seems like it would make sense that sysNAND games would be gone after formatting a SD card.

Ur right, i didnt realise they were installed on the SD card haha, i just assumed it used the system memory.
Thanks, you saved me a lot of stress haha, i thought i might have dirtied my sysnand :X
