Hi I have atmosphere and hekate on the Switch.

The microSD card is Fat32 and it's in the switch. Just in case anybody thinks I'm taking the SD card out of the SD slot every - I can confirm it's not being taken out.. It stays in the SD slot and I transfer games via USB. There's approx 100gb of free space on the SD card.

When I transfer game files smaller than 4gb (NSP and XCI) they copy across no problem and install fine.

This is how I copy them over to the switch
1) Turn switch on
2) Connect switch to PC via USB
3) Open Tinfoil on the switch
4) Copy the NSP to the 'Games' folder
5) Then I proceed to install it.

When the game file is larger than 4gb though it simply refuses to copy over. How do you get past this? It HAS to be possible otherwise nobody would bother to upload games that are larger than 4gb as it'd be completely pointless as they don't go on the switch.

Please AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE. I am not overly familiar with this whole thing so please give as much info as possible.

Most people install over USB or wifi, using dbi or awoo installer + ns-usbloader and similar. The xci/nsp never needs to be copied to the SD.

You can't. FAT32 file sizes are limited to 4GB.
So you either split your NSP in 4GB chunks or install that game over USB/Wifi.

Goldleaf and ns-usbloader over USB also works fine for me.

Don't bother splitting your games into chunks, just use DBIInstaller and install through usb. It saves you time anyway and people get their sd card reader damaged by taking out the sd card over and over, you can also transfer files through FTP. I haven't taken out my sd card in years.
