Nintendo snaps every exploit it uses to succeed right the fuck open, and\or people enable piracy using HANS source code. Or bothIf they release the source code of HANS (Probably not),what do you think is going to happen?![]()
That was a baseless rumor started by the same troll who started the Shock3DS thread.I hear that Hans can bypass what blocked Sky3DS.
I don't know what to call myself, but piracy is only okay to me if I eitherI'm pro-piracy (Well, more like a software liberator) and I'm all for getting rom loading going from bootup of the system, through system updates. We just need to keep plugging away. Nintendo will eventually get tired of this cat and mouse game.
Until the pc game Blur becomes available on Steam or Origin again, I'm going to keep the pirated copy I have. I don't want the retail disc, I want a legit digital PC copy.I don't know what to call myself, but piracy is only okay to me if I either
- have plans to buy it if it's good, and delete it if not
- have no chance of being able to afford in in the near future; will thus buy it if i can
- literally unbuyable
It already works a lot like Loadiine, but something is preventing us from loading code/romfs from other games, if we figured out what's stopping it, we could probably find a workaround. I'm pretty sure that is why HANS is closed source.Hans can be like Loadine ?
It doesn't.It already works a lot like Loadiine
No.but something is preventing us from loading code/romfs from other games, if we figured out what's stopping it, we could probably find a workaround.
No.I'm pretty sure that is why HANS is closed source.
Really? Seems pretty similar to me. Both redirect the file access to let you load different code and data. The underlying code is probably vastly different as they are completely different consoles after all, but they achieve very similar things. It doesn't.
No.
No.
RAM editing =/= loader patchingReally? Seems pretty similar to me. Both redirect the file access to let you load different code and data. The underlying code is probably vastly different as they are completely different consoles after all, but they achieve very similar things.
Are you just saying that because you don't want people to look into it? Because if you remember what happened with the Wii, Team Twiizers said DVDX couldn't be used for piracy but it wasn't long until someone figured out a way to do just that.
Are you just saying that because you don't want people to look into it?
HANS cannot be used as a network debugger so what you're saying is not true. One thing that nobody has mentioned is that everything that HANS is capable of had already been done by @cell9 through NTR.
Why is that important? Because everything NTR can do is done without ARM9 kernel access, it's all ARM11 hacks. Specifically, it's achieved by having ARM11 kernel access.
And what can we do with ARM11 kernel access? Install "legit" .cia games.
If HANS does indeed use an ARM11 kernel exploit, then that'd be one major reason for @smealum to want to keep the source code private.
OMG!!!

just in case it wasn't obvious, pretend there's a big ol' Kappa in the background there
