It's funny. You can pretty easily find all my accounts, my name (both legal and chosen), my city, even photos of me in front of well known places in the city, but you'll have a really hard time finding anything beyond that. I can't even find my info! Or info for my parents!

I think the quickest way to try and doxx me is to go to one of my accounts (not saying what one), search through who I'm following, find my dad (same last name), search him up, find out where he used to live, search his name on facebook with that location, hope to god you find his account with 0 posts and no SEO (keep in mind there are a ton of people with his name on there), maaaybe find my mom's account in his followings, then hope that you can possibly find something there. If not then search her name and you might or might not get something from one of those shady information sites.

At this point I'm not sure how much I even care about the information I put out there. You can't find me! I can't find me! City names only matter so much when there are multiple people with the same name in that city, all of whom flood any search results. Also good luck finding any of us in the white pages.

I'm probably not that anonymous once it comes down to it, but I also doubt anyone would really care too much about me to actually bother tracking down what actually exists out there.

Google my internet name "Jayro Jones", and I'm everywhere. Google my government-given name... And I'm a ghost. I learned at an early age to never use your real name online.

So I just use an Alias, like celebrities do.

Not at all really. I have zero hesitation using my real name of mentioning the general area I live online. I'm a very social person online. Now on major forums I'd maybe be a little bit more hesitant but on Discord I definitely don't hesitate much. People refer to me by my real name and it's just standard for me.

So, coming from a POV of someone who's never really been anonimous on the internet, I've been thinking about this topic for a long time now, especially because I worry about how this could potentially affect my life if someone were to get a grudge or something and start snooping around. Most people know my full name, my usernames which are tied to it, then you can easily find my Reddit account with 3 years of posts on it from which you could probably get a large chunk of my life story out of, ETC.
What about you. What's your level of anonimity. Do you have different usernames for each account you create? Do you reveal your real name and / or age? I'm just curious if I'm the only person on the internet who's this open lol. If you weren't previously anonimous but now are, what would be your tips for making my real identity slightly more obfiscated now that it's out there?
To be fair I usually post stuff I find OK to post but the paranoya still gets me sometimes and I do have the occasional what ifs.

What do you mean? If I misspelled something do let me know, I'm blind and mostly learned how to spell in English by listening to it for years using a Polish synthesizer and there's mistakes I've been making for a really long time before people pointed them out to me and I corrected them.

Your English is fine. That's very impressive to learn it like that, and pardon me for the .gif...

Then how did you reply to me?

Dude, he's using a Ouija Board to do all the talking...

I don't use my real name nor show a photo of myself, so I'd say mostly.

Am online dating a girl which we've been talking for a few months now, share photos, audio recordings, and videos (more life-like than photos) and I searched her on the internet if she was anywhere at all, nope. If I'd search for photos of myself I'd not find it either.

In Jan-Feb 2025 we'll meet in person. I stopped using curse words (it was generally on internet comments than real life), began going to church for real, read the Bible, and eventually marry her if all goes well. It's what I want, have a family of my own because sure as heck I don't want to reach 40 and be single and childless (no offense to anyone of course).

Anyway, you may ask what search engine I used, it was PimEyes, from personal experience PE is more accurate in finding results than Google and whatever.

I was waiting for the series finale to admit this, but

Robert Newbie isn't my real name.

I know this is a serious topic, but I like to lighten the mood for these kinds of things
