I have no idea when it happened. It was a gradual thing though, I thought Santa looked like someone I knew one time, and I got suspicious of it... I don't know... then I might've picked something up on TV when they joke about Santa not being real and stuff.
I was never devastated over it, I just grew up.

We still had a Santa come deliver some presents when I was like... 17. Just because of tradition :P He came unannounced one year too, it was kinda funny. I think I was 24 or something that time xD
It's a friend of the family, and local politician who was playing Santa for some friends' families that were nearby, so he went to us too :D

Ok, just be more mindful next time, we got rules for a reason.

@Marioyoshi64 Edit your post so the picture isn't visible when you check what you replied to.
it was a joke i saw on twitter and thought to myself . . . it fits . . . but i dont mean to offend (nor do i want to be labeled the next thecruel) . . . but in that case why not start at (include) the comment about Santa (his uncle) sticking things in asses being inappropriate as well?

Being raised in conditions that would likely be called child abuse in the southern US, that being parents that have no real use for religion and thus did not teach me it as a philosophy for life I am going to say always too. The Easter bunny placing chocolate and sweets under the bushes is a cool story and so is Father Christmas. The tooth fairy changing teeth into coins (depending if my mum was on night shift and whether I had let on that it had fallen out) proportional to the wealth of your parents was odd but there are all sorts of traditions. All possibly akin to "sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite" in being a stock phrase or cultural fantasy.

Sadly I was not cynical enough to see it as "God lite", or the gateway drug to the god with a capital G (an all seeing being concerned with my behaviour). Indeed while I treated Christianity as cool stories* much like my book on werewolves, vampires and folklore, as well as Odin, Thor and all that I was not yet cynical enough to bring that out** as the argument for its infeasibility.

*though confusing. I recall wondering why Jesus beat up a money changer in a church, I mean the one with the Samaritan was basically "be excellent to each other regardless of where you are from" which was cool, even though being in a school that was maybe 50% white it was only the parents of a few kids that did not like black people for some reason I could not figure out being a hint that some people thought another way (my science book said it was only pigment in their skin which made it all the more odd).

**I am told one of my grandmother's Mormon friends (the UK bunch of which have some very odd ideas about the world) once tried to tell me a part of how the universe worked according to them and my response was "don't be silly", something my mother found terribly amusing. I don't recall this though.

...
...
I think I was a bit sheltered as a kid. Now going to have to figure out where it all went wrong.

I don't think I could put an age on it, really, but probably around 4 or 5 or so. My parents used to put out the presents around 1 or so in the morning when they were "sure" all the kids were asleep, but my older bro used to wake us up when they did and we'd go out and shake presents and such, try to guess what was in them. It kinda became a tradition, for a little bit anyways, until my older bro moved out and then at that point we just started opening presents on Christmas Eve instead. I suppose I just kinda "knew" at that point around 4 or 5 that it was just my parents and not some tubby dude in a red suit slipping up and down our chimney and eating our cookies.

age 7, finding a unwrapped present hiding behind the living room sofa, with eaton's price tag on it (a previous big box retail store in canada, no longer around, it was 70s)

after that i didn't believe in santa anymore, but instead i believe in eaton's, used to run away from my dad when we went shopping, and he would find me on the top floor in toys section, playing with opened toys, and he would end up having to pay for them and bring them home, i didn't understand about money yet, but soon afterwards i did when he forced me to get a newspaper delivery route at age 12 and cut me off from my weekly allowance.

If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction

    Just kiss me Kyle.

You either need to be intubated to bypass obstruction or create a stoma inferior to the the area of obstruction to survive
