Lmao, reading the product description on Amazon.com for House Of The Dead 2 & 3 for the Wii when I noticed this:

QUOTE said:
Gory arcade graphics. THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 & 3 RETURN retains the rich arcade graphics you love

Which basically means no updated graphics and we'll be shooting pixilated zombie heads (in HotD2 atleast)
Surely it can't be that had to add some polish to them and make them look better? They might as well release HotD2 via the VC

Better be a budget title

They're not even as good as the arcade graphics, its looking like a port of the Xbox version, which also included HOTD 2. So its a bigger cop out.

As along as HOTD2 is like the Dreamcast version it will be fine. I tried HOTD3 on the xbox and it was ok, but the bonus HOTD2 had terrible aiming problems with the gun. I didn't know what was wrong with it. HOTD3 aiming was fine, but HOTD2 was all over the place, like they didn't calibrate everything correctly.

The Dreamcast version of HOTD2 was sweet, but it was made by SEGA for a SEGA console.

I think it will be released for GBP29.99 over here in the U.K. Still over priced..

I still like HOTD2 over HOTD3.. The caged monster in HOTD3 was good though..

^Same here...I've never given a crap about anything with FPS unless it's under 30 and causes problems. Human eye can't detect over 30fps as is so I've never given a damn. Far as I'm concerned 60fps is just a psychological mess making you think things are smoother and your mind just filling in the gaps it can have processed for it by the eyes.

Well its priced here at £29.99, and for me thats too much for a 6 year old game, now add the first game and Typing of the Dead on there then it might be a fair deal.

Would anyone other than videophiles really notice that?

I don't like lag in games, but unless I'm specifically looking for it, I can barely notice the difference in frame rate.

When you see one after the other, you'd notice it.

Human eyes can detect over 90fps. I believe Jet pilots have clocked over 128fps in tests.

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?

I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol

They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol

@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
you've seen how much intel is struggling getting into the gpu market
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
and nvidia is already doing ARM
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think they want to take more focus away from their gpus

Yeah I think Nvidia s future lays in AI GPU acceleration stuff if they can get that going it's going to be super interesting in the long term

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Psionic Roshambo AI assisted game creation is kinda already here, there was recently that AI that can turn any 2D image into a fully modeled 3D object, it's not perfect, but it's a starting point, beats starting from zero

before that there was one to generate a fully modeled scene from a 2D image

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but most recently, there was one that actually generates a working unity scene with terrain and textures already set up that you can import right into unity, that's a huge time saver right there
